Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a New Category in Conefy

Creating a new category in Conefy is simple and helps you organize your content efficiently. Follow these steps to set up a new category:

1. Access the Dashboard

Log in to the Conefy admin panel and navigate to the Categories menu.

2. Add a New Category

  • Click the Add New button in the All Categories

3. Set the Category Title and Alias

  • In the Category Title section, enter the name of the category.
  • In the Alias section, add a URL-friendly version of the title.

4. Customize the Category Path

  • By default, the Category Path (URL) will be autogenerated.
  • To customize the URL, uncheck the checkbox and input your preferred path.

5. Add a Category Description

  • In the Category Description section, provide details about the category.
  • Use the Source Code icon in the editor for advanced formatting or custom HTML edits.

6. Upload Category Images

  • Navigate to the Image Tab to upload images for the category.
  • In the Category Images section:
    • Upload a Blog Thumbnail Image.
    • Upload a Blog Detail Image.
    • Add Alt Text for both images to improve accessibility and SEO.

7. Set Category Status

  • In the Category Settings, select the status of the category:
    • Published: To make it live.
    • Unpublished: To save it as a draft.
    • Trashed: To delete it.

8. Choose the Category Type

  • Select the Type of Category that best fits your content.

9. Set Parent Category

  • Choose a Parent Category if this new category will be a subcategory.

10. Configure Access Role and Language Settings

  • Adjust the Access Role to define who can view the category.
  • Select the appropriate Language Settings for the category.

11. Manage Ordering

  • The Ordering Option will only become available after saving the category.

12. Save the Category

Once all details are filled in, click Save to create the new category.
